REVIEW
Possession (4/5 moons)
I decided to make a review for each episode, so I’ll start with Possession. Because the episode hasn’t had only 50 pages, my review will be a mini-review. The story is about Cara, a girl who came back in Eden to find a job. She had an interview at Dax Allard’s company, but Dax didn’t give her the job from the first time. In Eden were happening strange things and Cara almost died because of them. But Dax saved her and he isn’t what he seems.
So much sexual tension in this episode… The attraction between Dax and Cara was destructive. Every time they have seen each other, sparks came out. That tension was consuming. But then Cara found out something not so…human. I liked this episode and it’s a promising beginning 🙂
Betrothal (4/5 moons)
The sexual tension between them is even stronger. Cara fell so deeply in love with Dax and she couldn’t believe that this thing is even possible. But she is not sure about what feels Dax for her. After she found out the truth about Dax and what he is, she couldn’t believe that Dax loves her. But she is wrong. I liked because Dax was so jealous when James was flirting with Cara and that thing gave him the balls to tell Cara what he really feels about her. They can’t be together (sex) because Cara will die, so the tension is more acute.
They kissed (thanks God!) and their kisses were described very well, but they barely can restraint themselves. Cara is more important to Dax than she thought and they just can’t keep their arms in their place 🙂
I want to talk a little bit about the other characters. Oscar is a man who helps Dax and he is very nice with Cara. On the other side, Victorine, his daughter is a bitch and she gives me nerves. James is cute, but he can’t compare with Dax-the hottest of the hotties 🙂
The things went very fast and here wasn’t useless description. It reminded me a little bit about Twilight, but I like it. And when everything seems to be OK, something must be happening…
Illumination (4/5 moons)
This was the shortest episode, so I don’t have so many words for it. Cara must be protected better than ever because she has a bunch of demons running after her and that only because she is Dax’s betrothal and they are in love. She wants to protect herself, so she will learn Kendo and she will have an iron sword.
I must say, Victorine is still a bitch (I know she doesn’t want to move again, but HELLOOOO! They are in love!). James is OK, but he should give up because he doesn’t have any chance. Now all of them must be very careful because this could end bad, very bad…
Initiation (4/5 moons)
In this episode was described only one day without Dax and that day was awful for Cara. She wanted Dax to be near her, to hear his voice and to feel his heat, but he was gone in Northern Canada to meet the Astaroth group. In that day, she represented Dax in a fundraiser meeting where he made a very generous donation. She stayed with James and after that she went at Dax’s house where she should stay with Victorine. But when she reached there, she found some unknown demons and they weren’t really…cheerful.
She was a little codependent and she couldn’t stay very much without Dax. When he came home, she was a different person. But they love each other and that is explicable. Unfortunately, they can’t be together (in the physic way) because Cara could die. She tried to convince Dax that she wouldn’t get pregnant, but she failed. They must be very careful, especially now, when Cara is in a real danger.
Judgment (5/5 moons)
What an end! When will be out the 2nd season??? I have so many questions and I think we all have. The end was so abruptly! What will happen with Cara and Dax? Will they find a way to be together without the risks? What will do the Astaroth group? What had happened with James? Is he OK? What is he exactly and what role does he have? And who is Charlotte? Here are so many questions without an answer and I can’t wait for the sequel to find out those answers.
Cara’s life is again in danger (it actually wasn’t never safe) and I don’t know what will happen with those groups. Will be there a war between the demons? I think this book ended very abruptly and in it is very much mystery. Cara and Dax have almost reached in that point, but Dax regained his self-control only for a little while and he pushed away because if that thing would’ve happened, they couldn’t stop the consequences.
Overall, this book was very good. A little shorter than I would like, but I liked the story. It reminds me a little bit about Twilight, but it’s a very good story and I’m happy I’ve had the opportunity to read it!
