Interviu cu autoarea Helen Grant + Concurs

1.Tell us something about you. Did you always want to be a writer?

Yes, I have wanted to be a writer since I was in primary school. When I was 10, my teacher asked the class what we wanted to be when we grew up. I said, “A writer.” I said it so vehemently that he said, “And you will.”
However, before becoming a full-time writer I also became a mushroom picker, a student, a marketing assistant, a product manager, a charity worker and a mother! I also travelled a lot. In my 20s and early 30s I visited about 30 countries.

2.For those who are unfamiliar with your book: THE VANISHING OF KATHARINA LINDEN, how would you introduce it?

I’d say it is the most literary of my books. I guess I’d describe it as a literary thriller. It’s set in a small town in Germany called Bad Münstereifel. I lived in Bad Münstereifel for seven years, so I think the book is a fairly accurate portrayal of life in small-town Germany. There are folk tales woven into the story and they are genuine local legends of Bad Münstereifel.

3.Which book do you wish you could have written?

It’s tempting to say the Harry Potter books because it would be wonderful to be that successful! But artistically, I think something more philosophical, like Life of Pi.

4.What would your dream cast be for TVOKL?

Oh, that’s a really difficult question! Well, I’d want the German characters (most of the characters in the book are German) to be played by German actors. The book is set in Germany and I aimed for a real flavour of the country, so it would be a shame to make a film version that was too “Hollywood.” If I had to go on looks alone I guess I would see Stefan being played by River Phoenix when he was a child, and Pia by Ellie Darcey-Alden.

5.What are the top three songs on your playlist?

The Saltwater Room by Owl City
Morning After Dark by Timbaland with Nelly Furtado and SoShy
Sweet About Me by Gabriella Cilmi

6.What was the best gift you ever got?

My two children!

7. Would you like to say something to your Romanian fans or *future fans*?

Yes, I’d like to say thank you to everyone who has read The Vanishing of Katharina Linden or any of my other books. I love being a writer but it would be nothing without readers! So a big thank you.

Interview with Cora Carmack

1. Tell us something about you. What means writing for you?
Well, I’m twenty-five, and I’ve wanted to be many things in my life– an actor, a teacher, and archaeologist, a dancer, the president, etc. But the one thing I’ve always wanted to be is a writer. Writing for me is the chance to express myself, to tell a story that is uniquely mine. It’s the opportunity to leave my mark on the world. I think at the heart of every artist is the desire to leave a piece of themselves behind in the world.
2. Were you scared about people’s reaction when they read your book for the first time?
Oh, absolutely. I was petrified. I was pretty much glued to my computer screen for days after the book came out.
3. Who is your favorite author and which is your favorite book? Can you recommend us a book?
My favorite author and book with always be J.K. Rowling and the Harry Potter series. I love a lot of books though. At the moment, some of my favorites are Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly and the Half-Blood series by Jennifer L. Armentrout.
4. Which book do you wish you could have written?
Well, Harry Potter is the obvious answer. But probably The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. It’s one of those books that makes me want to memorize the whole thing because it’s just SO. GOOD.
5. If you were a supernatural creature, which creature would you be?
Any creature that can fly. 🙂
6. Does music inspire you? What kind of music do you like to listen?
Definitely. I listen to all kinds of music, but my favorite is singer/songwriter alternative kind of stuff. I love Ed Sheeran, Rilo Kiley, Laura Marling, The Lumineers, etc.
7. What do you think about Romania and Romanian literature? Have you been in Romania?
I have not visited Romania, but I would love to! There’s so much fascinating history there.
8. Do you like extreme sports?
Doing them? Um, not so much. I’m a big chicken. Can’t even ride roller coasters.
9. Do you have another project in your mind?
I’ve always got a few things in the works. At the moment, I’m working on edits for Kelsey’s book about her travels around Europe. 🙂
10. Would you like to say something to your Romanian readers?
Thank you so much for your support! I love you guys!
Thank you Cora for the interview! ❤ So guys, what do you think abou Cora and her book, ”Losing It”?

Blog Tour: „Just for the Summer” by Jenna Rutland

Officially, I love the books from Bliss colection. They are amazing! Today I have for you an interview with Mrs. Rutland and the review for her amazing book, „Just for the Summer” 🙂

Gosh, I love this book! It was so full of feelings and I felt all of them. I’m so happy I had the opportunity to read it. This book was amazing.

It’s about Dani, a nurse who went to Lake Bliss to meet her son. Her son was sam, the sheriff’s adoptive son. The thing is, the sheriff, Matt, is hot and Dani fell in love with him. In the beginning, was lust, passion, but after, they fell in love.

I like Matt, he’s funny, charming and he loves so much his son. He don’t want a short relationship, he want something forever, a woman who loves Sam and is not careless. And that woman is exactly Dani. She loves cooking, she loves Sam and she loves Matt. Her story is not a happy story. She was abused when she was eighteen years old and after 9 months, Sam was borned. She wanted a better life for him, so she gave him to adoption.

She suffered very much and she regreted this, but when Sam found out that Dani were his mother, he received her with love and happiness. Not the same thing happened to Matt. He was angry when he found out and he compeled Dani to leave the town.

He realized he has done a huge mistake and he can stop her at time. He asked her to marry him and she accepted.

It was a very beautiful story and I had so many feelings when I read it. It’s written very well and I recommend you this book. Rating 5/5 stars.

His temptation. Her secret. Their summer.

Dani Sullivan has come to Lake Bliss to write her latest cookbook…and to see if the baby she gave up for adoption eight years ago is happy. When she’s done with her reconnaissance, she plans to return to Detroit without any doubts about past decisions. But when she sees her little boy—indeed happy despite living with his single dad—she finds she can’t keep her promise to stay away…from her son or from his flirtatious father, who has no idea of her true identity.

Recently divorced sheriff Matt Reagan is ready for a new relationship, but he doesn’t want short-term—his son needs permanence, and so does Matt’s heart. Unfortunately, it’s the smart-mouthed and sinfully sexy Ms. Sullivan who catches his eye. But when Matt learns Dani’s secrets, will he still want her to stay? Or will her chance for love last just for the summer?

  • Tell us something about you. What means writing for you?

I came into writing a bit later than a lot of writers. It wasn’t until I read a book and realized that the authors were everyday people who lived in my area that maybe I had a chance to write, too. One of the things I enjoy about writing is that I get to use my imagination. There aren’t too many times in our grown-up lives that we get to do that.

  • Were you scared about people’s reaction when they read your book for the first time?

Absolutely! A writer puts so much time, effort, and themselves into a book. It’s putting part of yourself out there for people to critique. An author always hopes that every reader will love their book. Very scary!!

  • Who is your favorite author and which is your favorite book? Can you recommend us a book?

It would be hard for me to pick a favorite author – I have so many very talented authors that I enjoy reading. You can’t go wrong with picking up a Nora Roberts, Janet Evanovich or Susan Elizabeth Phillips book.

  • Which book do you wish you could have written?

I really can’t imagine writing any book other than my own. I think story ideas, plots, and characters come from within a writer.

  • If you were a supernatural creature, which creature would you be?

This is a tough question! I really don’t know much about creatures, unfortunately!

  • Does music inspire you? What kind of music do you like to listen to?

It depends on the scene I’m writing. I tend to like piano or jazz when writing emotional scenes, while the more lighthearted scenes don’t require any music.

  • Do you like extreme sports?

I can watch sports, but I’m way too clumsy to participate in anything other than walking!

  • Do you have another project in your mind?

Yes! Both Jack and Rachel have their own love stories, and I have a few ideas for holiday-themed stories.

Interviu cu autoarea Jennifer Lane + Giveaway

Hey guys, today we’re hosting Jennifer Lane on our blog. She is the author of ”The Conduct” series 😀 Hope you’ll like the interview:

1.Tell us something about you. Did you always want to be a writer?

I never anticipated becoming a writer. Instead, I trained for a career in psychology. But when a particular psychologist job stopped being fun, I looked for another creative outlet and found it in writing novels. Writing is quite therapeutic for me!

2.For those who are unfamiliar with your series: The Conduct Serieshow would you introduce it?

The Conduct Series is a love story between two ex-cons who try to make better lives for themselves after stints in prison. It’s romantic suspense with a psychological twist.

3.Which character was the easiest or most enjoyable to write about and why?

I loved writing ship captain Roger Eaton. He has a potty mouth and loves fattening foods. I pictured him as the actor Danny DeVito.

4.Which book do you wish you could have written?

Either Hopeless by Colleen Hoover or The Help by Kathryn Stockett.

5.If you could take a trip to anywhere in outer space, where would you go?

It’s rather provincial of me, but I would go to the moon so that I could view planet Earth from space. It would certainly inspire awe!

 6. What are the top three songs on your playlist?

“With or Without You” by U2, “How to Save a Life” by The Fray, and “Sailing” by Christopher Cross (cheesy and old, I know).

7. What was the best gift you ever got?

A trip to Japan to visit my sister when she lived there. Such an amazing culture.

8. Would you like to say something to your Romanian fans or *future fans*?

I’m honored my novels have made it to Romania! Mulțumesc!

Jennifer was nice enough to give us permission to run a little giveaway. You can win an e-copy of her book, ”With Good Behavior” just by entering the Rafflecopter here.

Thanks for stopping by and good luck 😉

Interviu cu autoarea Kimberly Sabatini + Concurs

1.Tell us something about you. Did you always wanted to be a writer?

I’ve loved writing since I was very young, but I lost some confidence in my teenage years and didn’t allow myself to believe I could be a writer. When my dad passed away in 2005 I made some very big changes. It was then that I began the process of rediscovering who I really was inside.

2.For those who are unfamiliar with your book: TOUCHING THE SURFACE, how would you introduce it?

TTS is really a contemporary story that has a magical element because it takes place in the afterlife. I always feel that at it’s core, it’s about life altering mistakes being meant to alter lives. But here’s the official summary…

Experience the afterlife in this lyrical, paranormal debut novel that will send your heart soaring. When Elliot finds herself dead for the third time, she knows she must have messed up, big-time. She doesn’t remember how she landed in the afterlife again, but she knows this is her last chance to get things right.

Elliot just wants to move on, but first she will be forced to face her past and delve into the painful memories she’d rather keep buried. Memories of people she’s hurt, people she’s betrayed…and people she’s killed.

As she pieces together the secrets and mistakes of her past, Elliot must find a way to earn the forgiveness of the person she’s hurt most, and reveal the truth about herself to the two boys she loves…even if it means losing them both forever.

3.Which character was the easiest or most enjoyable to write about and why?

Easily Oliver–he is just the kind of character who makes you smile. And I may have an Oliver home in my pack of boys LOL!

4.If you could take a trip to anywhere in outer space, where would you go?

Hmmmm I think I’d like to go to Saturn and see her rings up close. That seems like it would be such an amazing thing to witness. But I’d also like to step on the moon and leave a footprint or maybe write my name in the dust knowing it will always be there. And the view…I love the view from there.

5.Is TOUCHING THE SURFACE a standalone, or part of a series?

It’s a stand alone. But…at the moment my second book, THE OPPOSITE OF GRAVITY, has a crossover character. I don’t know if she’ll stick when I sell the book, but she’s there at the moment.

6.Can you recommend us another YA book?

I’m a big fan of anything by John Green, particularly THE FAULT IN OUR STARS. But I also love Laurie Halse Anderson, KL Going, Sara Zarr, AS King and Lois Lowry. And of course my debut brothers and sisters in the Class of 2k12 and the Apocalypsies put out too many amazing books to mention in 2012.

7.Do you have another projects in your mind?

My second book, which I’m revising and hoping to sell soon is called THE OPPOSITE OF GRAVITY and it’s a contemporary. I have another in the early stages called CHASING ADAPTATION.

8.Would you like to say something to your Romanian fans or *future fans*?

I think Romania is awesome. I have my fingers crossed that I sell the rights soon–I’d absolutely love to see a version of TOUCHING THE SURFACE in Romanian. And thank you so much for all the love and support–it means the world to me. ❤

Cand tatal meu a murit in 2005, am facut niste schimbari imense.

LOL!

4.Daca ai putea sa faci o calatorie oriunde in spatiul cosmic, unde ai merge?

Dar….in acest moment a doua mea carte, THE OPPOSITE OF GRAVITY, are personaje asemanatoare.

Sunt o mare fana a cartilor scrise de John Green, in special THE FAULT IN OUR STARS. Dar de asemenea ii iubesc pe Laurie Halse Anderson, KL Going, Sara Zarr, AS King si Lois Lowry. Ai desigur, fratii si surorile mele debutante in Class of 2k12 si Apocalipsa a scos prea multe carti uimitoare de mentionat in 2012.

7.Ai in plan alte proiecte?

A doua mea care pe care o revizuiesc si sper sa o vand in curand se numeste THE OPPOSITE OF GRAVITY si este contemporana. Am alta in stadii incipiente numita CHASING ADAPTATION.

Imi tin pumnii si sper ca voi vinde drepturile in curand—Mi-ar placea sa vad o versiune a cartii  TOUCHING THE SURFACE in Romania. Si va multumesc foarte mult pentru iubire si sustinere– inseamna foarte mult pentru mine. ❤

Interviu cu autoarea Nikki Jeford

1.Tell us something about you. Did you always wanted to be a writer?

Yes, always! I was very shy growing up and had to move all the time. I was always The New Girl at school. Stories, my own and others, kept my company no matter where we moved.

2.For those who are unfamiliar with your series: SPELLBOUND, how would you introduce it?

The witches and warlocks in Spellbound must blend into a world where normal humans are unaware of the existence of magic. In the first book, Entangled, Graylee Perez dies and then is brought back by a resurrection spell. Trouble is, she’s stuck sharing her twin sister’s body and her sister wants her out by any means necessary. If Gray doesn’t find a way back inside her body soon she risks being purged forever. Along the way she attracts the attention and devotion of bad boy warlocks Raj McKenna and Adrian Montez.

3.Which character was the easiest or most enjoyable to write about and why?

Graylee Perez was the most enjoyable because of her humor and courage. I love a character who doesn’t hold back and speaks her mind.

4.Which book do you wish you could have written?

Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. How does he come up with this stuff?!

5.If you could take a trip to anywhere in outer space, where would you go?

Pandora. 😉

6. What are the top three songs on your playlist?

Echo by Cyndi Lauper, Triplets of Belleville from the French animation, and Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye

7. What was the best gift you ever got?

A scooter from my husband on our 10 year anniversary. I love riding it around the island!

8.Would you like to say something to your Romanian fans or *future fans*?

It’s a pleasure to connect with readers from all around the world. I enjoy meeting people who love reading as much as I do!
Being an independent author is hard work. The recommendations you make to your friends and followers, and reviews you write make all the difference. Thank you for supporting writers!

Problema e ca ea este blocata in corpul surorii ei gemene si sora ei isi vrea corpul inapoi cu orice pret. Daca Gray nu gaseste un mod de a se reintoarce in corpul ei, in curand ea risca sa ramana in purgatoriu pentru totdeauna.

Game of Thrones de George R.R. Martin. Cum poate avea atatea idei?!

5.Daca ai putea sa faci o calatorie oriunde in spatiul cosmic, unde ai merge?

Pandora. 😉

Echo de Cyndi Lauper, Triplets of Belleville de la French animation so Somebody That I Used To Know de Gotye.

Respect Month Blog Tour – Featuring ”Shackled” by Angela Carling

Today is an important day 😉 I have the pleasure to be part of this amazing RESPECT MONTH BLOG TOUR featuring ”Shackled” by Angela Carling. Can’t wait to hear what you think about my review and about the lovely interview with the author<3

‘’Shackled’’ is one of the best books I have EVER read. After reading it, I became an emotional wreck. The story is so complex and beautiful, you will beg for more, believe me. But the most important thing is that ‘’Shackled’’ has an important message for everybody. Unfortunately, nowadays, many girls are in Lucy’s situation and it’s not OK. If you read this book, you will be dumbfounded.

Everything changed when Lucy Taylor moved with her family in a new town. She was the new girl and HE put his eyes on her.

Ryan Hillstead was exactly the type of boy who Lucy wanted. He was handsome, smart and educated. He and Lucy developed a beautiful relationship and I must confess that at the beginning I loved Ryan too. This sounds perfect, doesn’t it? But it definitely isn’t. Here comes the hard part: Ryan was very jealous and he acted like a possesive guy everytime Lucy was around Mason (or other boys), his best friend. Mason loved Lucy, but he respected her and he never tried to stole her from Ryan.

Ryan’s father, Mark, was a sick man. He taught his son that women must be dominated and kept against their will. He gave Ryan a tracking bracelet for Lucy and he put a GPS in her phone.  They were insane! The serious part was that May, Ryan’s mother, was in the same situation. She wore a tracking bracelet for many years.

When Lucy discovered the real Ryan, she was shocked because she really loved him (or at least, she thought she loved him). He became a hunter and poor Lucy was his prey. With Mason’s help, Lucy tried to get help. Did she find the help? Did Ryan and his father hurt her? So many questions and Lucy was running out of time.

In this hunting and thrilling journey, Angela Carling says the story of an innocent girl who thought that she had found love, but instead she found the big bad wolf.

Overall, ‘’Shackled’’ is a MUST read! I just love this book with all my heart and I’m so honored that I had the opportunity to read it. It talks about abuse, domestic violence and respect. It really shattered me!

And because I liked the book so much, I also created two Fan-Arts 😀

Dark Forrest Shadows

Now it’s time for the fun interview with Angela: BeFunky_5331346.png

1. Tell us something about you. Did you always wanted to be a writer?

Oh Yeah, I always loved stories.  I was one of those kids that was always playing make believe when I should have been doing my chores…and got in trouble for itJ

2. For those who are unfamiliar with your book: SHACKLED, how would you introduce it?

I would rather tell you what other readers say about Shackled. They describe it as gripping and emotional, and a fast moving story of love gone awry. I will tell you it has some great twists and a love triangle.

3. What would your dream cast be for SHACKLED?

It’s funny you ask that because Shackled is being adapted into a screenplay as we speak. A company called Brothers inc bought the rights last year and are almost finished with the screenplay.  As for a dream cast…

For Lucy-Amanda Seyfried,

For Ryan- Scott Shilstone

For Mason-Liam Hemsworth

HOTTIES GALORE..That’s the important thingJ

4. Can you recommend us another YA book?

I really enjoy work by Tiffany King and anything by Chelsea Fine. She happens to be my neighbor and friend but man, that girl can write a story.

5. What was the best gift you ever got?

A kitten given to me by my husband when we were dirt poor. He is the greatest husband ever and the cat, Nala lived with us for 14 years!

6. Which book do you wish you could have written?

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, her work is so masterful and romantic.

7. Would you like to say something to your Romanian fans or *future fans*?

YES! I get so excited when I think my books being read all the way in Romania.  I love how literature links us all together and I hope you feel free to contact me. My readers are also some of my best friends.  You can connect with me through twitter @angelacarling or facebook , or email Hope to talk to you soon.

Hope you guys enjoyed the post *many thanks for stopping by* and don’t forget to say what you think about Angela or about her amazing book, SHACKLED<3
