I haven’t posted a review for so long…. I can’t even remember. I haven’t posted anything on this blog for so long and I want to start with that, but I just don’t know, I’m not feeling it, you now what I mean? Anyway, let’s start with this review and I think I’ll make a post tomorrow about my blogging problem.
Teresa Hamilton is having a rough year—she’s in love with her big brother’s best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a truly amazing, mind-blowing, change-your-life kiss. She got out of a terrible relationship. And now an injury is threatening to end her dance career for good. It’s time for Plan B – college. And maybe a chance to convince Jase that what they have together is real.
Jase Winstead has a huge secret that he’s not telling anyone. Especially not his best friend’s incredibly beautiful sister. Even though he and Teresa shared the hottest kiss of his life, he knows that his responsibilities must take priority. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But it doesn’t help that all he can think about kissing the one girl who could ruin everything for him.
As they’re thrown together more and more, Jase and Tess can’t keep denying their feelings for each other. But a familiar danger looms and tragedy strikes. As the campus recovers, the star-crossed couple must decide what they’re willing to risk to be together, and what they’re willing to lose if they’re not…
Like I said, this was a truly amazing story which touched my soul and my heart. After reading ‘Wait for You’, I’ve been looking forward for this book. And like you know, all of JLA’s books are amazing, so I don’t have to say anything more. Okay, now let’s talk a little bit about the book, shall we? 🙂
It is Tess’ story (Tess being Cam’s sister), who have suffered an accident with her knee and she had to give up dancing. She hoped her knee would get better because dancing was her love, her passion (well, besides Jase 🙂 ). But dancing, being there, on the stage, that was her dream and it was shattered into a million pieces because her knee will be always weak. And to add some more, her ex-boyfriend was psycho and he hit her and that made her vulnerable and she was broken.
Jase is her crush and he is her brother’s best friend. They shared a kiss, but after that, they haven’t seen each other for a whole year. Until Tess started college. She knew she had a crush on him, but she didn’t know that she actually loves him. And loving Jase is hard because he has a lot of baggage.
In the beginning I’ve thought that he is an asshole because he left and then he acted weird, but it wasn’t easy for him. Seeing Tess, loving her, after so many things had happened. But still, he was there for her and he stayed by her side when she needed him. And he was really cute with those cupcakes. He loved her since that night, but he was afraid to accept it. Jase was scared by the thought of losing her. He wasn’t ready because he had to confront his demons. But Tess understood him because she knew the truth and when he was ready, she welcomed him with open arms.
And when Cam found out… it was a little funny, but he accepted it in the end because he knew the truth about Jase too, and he knew that Jase’s feelings for Tess were strong.
And there was Erik, a stupid-psycho-motherfucker. I can’t believe what he has done and when you think that people like him exist in the real world… I have no words for his actions.
Overall, it was a beautiful story and it was about love, life, pain, and happiness. I can’t express my feelings very well because they can’t be described. You have to read this book to know what I mean. But, again, a spectacular book from JLA. You have to read it!
What do you think? Have you read this book?
