Officially, I love the books from Bliss colection. They are amazing! Today I have for you an interview with Mrs. Rutland and the review for her amazing book, „Just for the Summer”🙂
Gosh, I love this book! It was so full of feelings and I felt all of them. I’m so happy I had the opportunity to read it. This book was amazing.
It’s about Dani, a nurse who went to Lake Bliss to meet her son. Her son was sam, the sheriff’s adoptive son. The thing is, the sheriff, Matt, is hot and Dani fell in love with him. In the beginning, was lust, passion, but after, they fell in love.
I like Matt, he’s funny, charming and he loves so much his son. He don’t want a short relationship, he want something forever, a woman who loves Sam and is not careless. And that woman is exactly Dani. She loves cooking, she loves Sam and she loves Matt. Her story is not a happy story. She was abused when she was eighteen years old and after 9 months, Sam was borned. She wanted a better life for him, so she gave him to adoption.
She suffered very much and she regreted this, but when Sam found out that Dani were his mother, he received her with love and happiness. Not the same thing happened to Matt. He was angry when he found out and he compeled Dani to leave the town.
He realized he has done a huge mistake and he can stop her at time. He asked her to marry him and she accepted.
It was a very beautiful story and I had so many feelings when I read it. It’s written very well and I recommend you this book. Rating 5/5 stars.
About JUST FOR THE SUMMER:
His temptation. Her secret. Their summer.
Dani Sullivan has come to Lake Bliss to write her latest cookbook…and to see if the baby she gave up for adoption eight years ago is happy. When she’s done with her reconnaissance, she plans to return to Detroit without any doubts about past decisions. But when she sees her little boy—indeed happy despite living with his single dad—she finds she can’t keep her promise to stay away…from her son or from his flirtatious father, who has no idea of her true identity.
Recently divorced sheriff Matt Reagan is ready for a new relationship, but he doesn’t want short-term—his son needs permanence, and so does Matt’s heart. Unfortunately, it’s the smart-mouthed and sinfully sexy Ms. Sullivan who catches his eye. But when Matt learns Dani’s secrets, will he still want her to stay? Or will her chance for love last just for the summer?

- Tell us something about you. What means writing for you?
I came into writing a bit later than a lot of writers. It wasn’t until I read a book and realized that the authors were everyday people who lived in my area that maybe I had a chance to write, too. One of the things I enjoy about writing is that I get to use my imagination. There aren’t too many times in our grown-up lives that we get to do that.
- Were you scared about people’s reaction when they read your book for the first time?
Absolutely! A writer puts so much time, effort, and themselves into a book. It’s putting part of yourself out there for people to critique. An author always hopes that every reader will love their book. Very scary!!
- Who is your favorite author and which is your favorite book? Can you recommend us a book?
It would be hard for me to pick a favorite author – I have so many very talented authors that I enjoy reading. You can’t go wrong with picking up a Nora Roberts, Janet Evanovich or Susan Elizabeth Phillips book.
- Which book do you wish you could have written?
I really can’t imagine writing any book other than my own. I think story ideas, plots, and characters come from within a writer.
- If you were a supernatural creature, which creature would you be?
This is a tough question! I really don’t know much about creatures, unfortunately!
- Does music inspire you? What kind of music do you like to listen to?
It depends on the scene I’m writing. I tend to like piano or jazz when writing emotional scenes, while the more lighthearted scenes don’t require any music.
- Do you like extreme sports?
I can watch sports, but I’m way too clumsy to participate in anything other than walking!
- Do you have another project in your mind?
Yes! Both Jack and Rachel have their own love stories, and I have a few ideas for holiday-themed stories.
